Detective - Application

The Waupun Police Department is accepting applications for a full time Detective!  Applications will be accepted through December 13th, 2024 by 4:00 pm.  

How to Apply:

1. Click on the following link to the WILENET website to access the employment application:  DJ-LE-330. 
2. Complete the fillable document.
3. Print and sign the application.
4. Submit the application (applications can be emailed, faxed, mailed/dropped off at the Police Dept.), your typed responses to Section 6, items A, B, and C from the DJ-LE-330 application and a copy of your resume to:

The Waupun Police Department no longer requires applicants to be eligible for Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board Certification and is willing to sponsor motivated individuals who meets the other requirements.  Applicants meeting the minimum qualification standards may be required to successfully complete the following steps:

• Interview with Police Supervisors
• Interview with Police Chief
• Interview with Police and Fire Commission
• Background Investigation
• Physical Examination
• Psychological Examination
