Services/duties/responsibilities of department

The City of Waupun contracts with Associated Appraisal Consultants for the duties of the Assessor.  The assessor works for the City and is generally responsible for establishing the fair market value of all taxable property in the City (excluding manufacturing). The assessor is responsible for conducting the "Revaluation" and annual "Maintenance" of property within the municipality.  The assessor is not involved in the determination of tax rates or the collection of property taxes.
