You may place a hold on items when they are already checked out by asking for help at the front desk or placing a hold yourself at one of the online catalog computers in the library.  You may also place a hold from home by navigating to the Monarch Catalog.

When materials cannot be found in the Monarch Catalog, you can try searching WISCAT.  You can place your own requests, or library staff can place them for you.  This is called an Interlibrary Loan request.  You will need a library card to make an Interlibrary Loan request.  If you are interested in placing your own requests, library staff will need to set up an account for you, which will require you to contact us.
