Trash Collection Announcement
Advanced Disposal has confirmed that trash collections will be suspended again on Thursday, 1/31/19, due to the wind chill advisory. What does that mean for you if your service has been delayed this week? We're sorry to say it means no garbage pickup this week. These steps are being taken to ensure safety of the drivers who are in the elements for extended periods of time each day. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.
So, what is the plan?
If Tuesday/Wednesday is your scheduled pickup day, your service will automatically be delayed until your next normally scheduled pickup day next week (either Tuesday, 2/5 or Wednesday, 2/6). Please note that drivers will be prepared to collect any extras during this pickup at no additional charge. This includes any extras that are bagged or containerized. Note that this does not include bulk items. Additionally, recycling will be delayed one additional week. You should plan to set recycling containers curbside the week of 2/11/19 on your regularly scheduled pickup day.
Customers normally receiving pickup on Mondays had service on Tuesday of this week and will see no change to their next normal garbage pickup on Monday, 2/4/19.
Hopefully, our weather patterns return to more normal temperatures next week and everything runs according to this plan. We will continue to keep you updated on any changes. If you have questions, feel free to call City Hall at 920.324.7900.
