Housing Study & Needs Analysis

The Housing Study and Needs Analysis was completed in late 2019 and approved by the City Council on February 11, 2020. The study included detailed demographic information, information on the economic factors and the housing affordability gap, one-on-one interviews with stakeholders, and focus groups. Based on analysis of all of those inputs the study consultant, Cedar Corporation, made a number of recommendations the city can implement to meet existing and future housing market needs. Recommendations are also in-line with the 2040 Comprehensive Plan and the recently published Housing Affordability report.
