Mayor's Community Update - 04/02/2018
Greetings! Spring is just around the corner and that means it’s time for cleanup. Up first is our bulk-waste pickup service. Pickup dates are April 10, 11 and 12. Bulk items will be picked up on your normal trash pickup date. A list of allowable items can be found on our website along with guidelines. In the past some residents have left televisions or other electronic items on the curb during bulk pickup. Please note that these items are not an allowable item for bulk pickup. If placed at the curb they will not be picked up.
Next is spring yard waste pickup which is scheduled for April 16 to May 4, weather permitting. This is a service that we provide to City of Waupun residents. The service is intended for the disposal of leaves, grass, garden waste and branches that are generated from routine yard maintenance. All grass clippings and leaves should be left loose and at curbside. Leaf and brush piles should be separated and not bagged. No tree stumps or tree roots systems will be collected.
Around town, enjoy the annual figure skating ice show, Golden Blade Awards, at the Community Center on April 6, 7 and 8. Show times can be found on our website. Also, tickets are on sale for the first Waupun Festivals concert of the year which happens on April 21 at the Historic City Hall. The concert features Al Stewart, best known for the hit songs, “Year of the Cat” and “Time Passages”, and special guest Janet Planet. More information about this and other community events can be found on our website. See you around town!
