Waupun Fire Department Command Staff Promotion

Waupun fire command staff raising hand to take oath of higher offices

Gathered in front of the common council and surrounded by their loved ones, five fire department members took the oath of office to be promoted to the department’s command staff.

Fire Chief DeMaa began the pinning ceremony by stating that the dedicated firemen had a long history of leadership to the department and passion for serving the community: “The retirement of our previous Officers, many of which had 30+ years of service, has opened the door of opportunity to the next group of leaders within this organization. All of the individuals being recognized tonight were leaders in the waiting long before being promoted. Each one has a deep passion for the job they do and a tremendous care for the community they serve.
