City Update on Weather - Limited Services for Jan 31

The City of Waupun will continue operations with limited services through Thursday, 1/31/19, as a result of the extreme wind chill warning that remains in effect through that time. Residents are urged to continue use of precautions, and check on neighbors and pets.
The following City Services are effected for Thursday, 1/31/19:
The Waupun Public Library will remain closed through noon on Thursday, 1/31/19.
Transit/Taxi services within the City remain closed until noon on Thursday, 1/31/19. A limited number of drivers are available to help stranded or endangered residents.
The Waupun Senior Center and meal services will be closed on Thursday, 1/31/19.
Advanced Disposal has suspended garbage pickup services on Thursday, 1/31/19. Garbage pickup will resume on Monday, 2/4/19. Recycling services will resume on 2/11/19. Drivers will be prepared to pick up extra bagged or containerized trash and recycling items during those weeks.
The Waupun City Hall, Public Safety Building and the Public Works garage along with Waupun Utilities will operate normal business hours on Thursday, 1/31/19. Residents needing warming services are instructed to call 211 or go to the Public Safety Building, located at 16 E Main Street, Waupun.
City Hall continues to accept property tax payments. City staff announced today an extension of a five (5) day grace period for property tax payments, normally due January 31, 2019. Property tax payments will be accepted through close of business on Tuesday, February 5, 2019. Payments can be made in person, online through the City of Waupun website, deposited in the drop box near the main City Hall entrance, or mailed to City of Waupun, 201 E Main St, Waupun, WI 53963.
