Christian Education K-12
Central Wisconsin Christian Schools has been established in Waupun since 1948, providing a quality education with a sound moral and Biblical basis for four-year old kindergarten students through senior high.
The elementary campus at 520 McKinley Street provides full-day instruction to 135 students of four-year old kindergarten through fifth grade. Over 200 middle and high school students receive their education in a new facility at 301 Fox Lake Road. This facility has been designed to include modern science and computer labs, technology education, and an integrated media center.
While over 30 qualified and certified teachers provide instruction to these students in areas such as science, technology, music, art, math, physical education, etc., they also use discipline techniques rooted in Christ's teachings. The call to be reconciled to one another out of love for Christ is the ultimate goal in every situation.
Beyond the core curricula of Waupun's Christian schools, students are given opportunities to explore a wide range of topics and activities such as music, the arts, government, worship, athletics, vocational education, journalism, drama and other various internships.
Teachers are chosen for their professional preparation, expertise in subject area, and a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Their call is to nurture and enable students to reflect the love of Jesus. They do this both by modeling the Christian walk and teaching it. Every teacher's goal is to direct students into a Christian way of thinking and living, both in the classroom and in the community.
Parents are actively involved in Christian education as well. Many have the opportunity to serve on respective school boards, thereby guiding the overall program of the school. Parents serve as room fathers and mothers. They also serve on various committees, some that raise funds for a wide-variety of programs, others that aide in hot lunch, public relations, teacher appreciation, health, athletics and building and grounds.
CWCS represents parents from a wide-variety of church denominations and Christian beliefs. These parents are very committed to their children's education because they send them to these schools with dollars that supercede property tax dollars used to support public schools. This financial commitment is consistent with their belief that every part of life must be viewed with the spectacles that the Bible gives. The church, the school, and the home are united in the instruction these children receive. This united approach to education gives our students a solid Biblical-basis for how they view the world and their effectiveness in it.
