Waupun Utility Water Customers:

This past weekend Waupun Utilities received several calls from customers that had frozen or leaking pipes due to their water pipes freezing in their basement or utility room.

The next few days the State will experience extremely cold conditions along with high winds. Waupun Utilities is recommending that you be aware of temperatures that could be reaching the freezing point in your basement or utility room. Simple steps like running a box fan to circulate warm air throughout your basement and making sure basement or utility room exterior doors and windows are fully closed and sealed can save you from expensive plumber bills.

Please note that Waupun Utilities is not asking you to run water continuously. We are not concerned with pipes freezing underground. Rather, we are concerned with customers pipes freezing and busting in their homes.
